| The Ohio State Couple and Family Therapy Clinic, is housed in the Department of Human Development and Family Science in the College of Education and Human Ecology. |
The CFT Clinic is open for both day and evening appointments, Monday through Thursday, with day time appointments on Fridays.
People interested in setting an initial appointment should call (614) 292-3671. Generally, a voice-mail system will take your message, and a clinical staff member will return your call as soon as possible. You will be asked to provide some basic information about you and your family in order to best determine your present needs. Your family will be assigned to one of our therapists on a first-come, first-serve basis, or you will be placed on a waiting list to receive services at the earliest possible time. Therapy sessions are generally conducted in the evening, Monday through Thursday, although some day and morning times are available.
We are a training clinic for Ph.D. students in the Couple and Family Therapy Ph.D. Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education. All therapists have masters degrees in couple and family therapy or related fields and are receiving specialized clinical and research training in Couple and Family therapy. All therapists are supervised by licensed clinicians who are Approved Supervisors or equivalent of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
